Octisensus Philosophy ™
-
Our curriculum amalgamates The Montessori Methodology, The Waldorf School and the Reggio Emilia school of thought.
-
The combination of these three groundbreaking ideologies paves the way for a profoundly empathetic curriculum that uses the natural desire of children to learn with simple and natural engagement tools that help develop free thinking and focus on creating an engaging learning-oriented environment.
-
This has given birth to the Octisensus Philosophy, which encompasses the various types of intelligences that children display and the best way to tap into them, nurture them and help them hone their natural acumen.
-
Each child evolves in their way with their strengths and speeds; click here to read more on the birthplace of our Philosophy.

Linguistic
Finding the right words to express what you mean; some children exhibit a keen understanding of letters and words early on, along with the ability to quicky switch between languages which means they can develop high linguistic intelligence

Spatial
Visualizing the world as a 3D landscape and understanding volume, mass etc.; spatial intelligence in children manifests as a quick grasp on shapes, figures, building blocks and easily following directions to build a model like a tower etc.
Naturalist
Understanding living things and reading about nature; children typically feel at ease around nature but some exhibit curiosity and comfort that goes beyond normal in natural spaces – they may quickly memorise names of insects, trees etc.

Bodily: Kinesthetic
Coordinating between the mind and the body; at times, children naturally pick up sports and love to move be it playing catch or excelling at taekwondo or dancing, it means their bodily kinesthetic intelligence is high

Musical
Discerning sounds, pitch, tone, rhythm and tenor; if a child quickly grasps new rhymes, rhythm and songs while understanding multiple instruments played, they can be said to have the potential of developing a keen musical sensibility

Logical
Mathematical – quantifying things, making hypothesis and proving them; naturally picking up numbers, or learning basic functions during early education signifies a well. Children with this intelligence are methodical and will be drawn to puzzles, logic games etc.

Intra-Personal
Sensing people’s feelings and motives; when children communicate and interact effectively from a young age or understanding emotions easily, they may have a high interpersonal intelligence quotient

Inter-Personal
Understanding yourself, what you feel, what you want counts as this intelligence which in children is visible as awareness of their individual feelings, thoughts, anxieties, and traits etc.
